SAFETY GUIDELINES
LAST UPDATED: FEBRUARY 2026
Your safety and well-being are paramount. EraseRooms is designed with total security in mind, but safe behavior is your best shield while chatting with strangers.
1. Maintain Your Anonymity
Anonymity is your default superpower on EraseRooms. To preserve it:
- Never share your real name, address, school, or phone number.
- Do not link or share your personal social media profiles (Instagram, Snapchat, etc.).
- Be mindful of what is visible in your video background (e.g., school uniforms, mail, distinct landmarks).
2. Report Bad Behavior Immediately
We do not tolerate harassment, bullying, or abuse. If you encounter any inappropriate user:
- Click the Disconnect button instantly to leave the chat.
- Use the report options or send a report to abuse@eraserooms.com with any relevant details.
- Do not engage, argue, or retaliate against toxic behavior — simply disconnect.
3. Beware of External Links and Scams
Some malicious users may attempt to share links under false pretenses:
- Never click on links sent by strangers, especially those claiming to be "verifications" or social handles.
- Ignore any requests for money, bank transfers, or digital payments.
- Be cautious of users trying to steer you away from EraseRooms to other communication platforms.
4. Respect Others
Safe connections are built on mutual respect. You can contribute to a safer community by:
- Being respectful, civil, and friendly in your conversations.
- Respecting other users' privacy and digital boundaries.
- Never capturing screenshots, video recordings, or copying text from other users without consent.
5. Child Protection
EraseRooms strictly prohibits minors under 13 from using the service. If you suspect a user is underage, disconnect immediately and report them to abuse@eraserooms.com.
